Golden Jubilee Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium of Public Health Conference 2018 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

Member of CCOUC Mr Eugene Lo participated in the Golden Jubilee Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium of Public Health Conference 2018 (APACPH 2018) held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia from 12 to 14 Sep 2018. The theme for this year’s conference is “Milestone Event – Moving Forward to Address Challenges in Regional Health”. This year’s conference was hosted by Malaysian University of Sabah. Representatives from over 22 countries participated in the event, which included four breakout sessions, four multiple keynote lectures and three poster sessions.

Mr Lo delivered two posters and an oral presentation on behalf of the CCOUC team. The titles of the posters were “Scientific Evidence on Natural Disasters and Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management in Asian Rural-Based Area” and “Long-Term and Immediate Impacts of Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management (Health-EDRM) Education Interventions in a Rural Chinese Earthquake-Prone Transitional Village”. The oral presentation title was “Public Perception and Sociodemographic Predictors of Urban Transport Safety: Cross-Sectional Study After a 2017 Urban Underground Metro Fire in the Chinese Metropolis”.
