Prof Emily Chan and CCOUC research team members were invited to participate in the “Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Climate Change and Health Forum” organised by Hong Kong Observatory on 22 Jan 2018. More than 30 experts in disciplines of meteorology, remote sensing, infectious disease and medical and public health from governments, public organisations, and academic institutions in Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao joined the forum to have indepth discussion and exchange in the current evidence and strategies to mitigate the health impact of climate change on residents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area. Prof Chan has delivered a presentation entitled “The Health Impact of Climate Change Among Subtropical Urban Residents” in the forum, which summarised the relevant local research findings and potential knowledge gaps in this area.
