Prof Emily Chan, CCOUC Centre Director, attended the International Symposium on Green Development and Integrated Risk Governance (IRG-GD2019): Review of Global Disaster Risk Reduction Activities in Shenzhen, China on 13 October 2019.
The symposium provided unique opportunities for the enhanced interconnections and collaborations among stakeholders, and strengthened the awareness and ability of disaster risk reduction (DRR) in the context of sustainable development. Prof. Chan gave an oral presentation entitled “The case of ‘Health’ : Health-Emergency Disaster Risk Management (health-EDRM)”, highlighting the importance of health in DRR.
CCOUC hosts the CCOUC International Centre of Excellence (ICoE-CCOUC) endorsed by Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR)
