The "Public Health Principles in Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response" online course will be launched on 16 June 2014 and open for pre-registration on 8 May 2014.
The 7-lesson course will cover basic concepts of disasters, the trends and impact of disaster globally, essential concepts of public health relevant to disaster risk reduction and resilience-building, as well as the international coordination of disaster response and conceptualization of public health emergency preparedness in the context of the human security approach to development.
