Mrs. Catherine SW Chan-Kwok Prize in Humanitarian Field Work

 

Regulations

In memory of his late wife Mrs. Catherine SW Chan-Kwok, Dr. CHAN Chok-wan has donated HK$200,000 to the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC) to set up an endowment fund. The annual payout will be used to subsidize one or two undergraduate or postgraduate student(s) to conduct humanitarian field work of CCOUC every year. The award is named in memory of his late wife, Mrs Catherine Chan-Kwok.

Value of the Award

The value of the prize depends on the annual payout return of the HK$200,000 endowment fund and is capped at HK$8,000.  A maximum of two prizes can be awarded in case two applicants are very close, and the prize will be equally divided among the two.  No award will be granted if there is no suitable candidate.

  1. The award is open for application until 12 October 2015.  

  2. Applications should be made to CCOUC, Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, Faculty of Medicine by emailing the required documents to ccouc@cuhk.edu.hk

  3. Announcement of Results: Applicants will be informed of the results by mid November via CU webmail.
