Professor Shiu Hung LEE, founding member of CCOUC Advisory Board and an eminent public health specialist, passed away at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Hong Kong on 9 January 2014 at the age of 80. Members of the Centre mourn his passing away with deepest sadness and express our condolences to Professor Lee’s family.

Professor Lee is Emeritus Professor of Community Medicine and Founding Director of the School of Public Health and Primary Care, CUHK. He had shown his stanch support and care for the Centre since our inception in April 2011, having suggested numerous ideas to advance the Centre in the area of international collaboration in disaster medical humanitarian response in the region. He will be remembered for his enthusiastic support to CCOUC as well as his concern for our cause of disaster medical humanitarian response.

香港公共卫生学开山鼻祖、CCOUC灾害与人道救援研究所顾问委员会委员李绍鸿教授，痛于2014年1月9日早上于香港玛嘉烈医院病逝，享年八十岁，研究所同仁深切悼念及惋惜。 

李绍鸿教授为香港中文大学公共卫生及基层医疗学院社区医学荣休讲座教授及创院院长。自CCOUC在2011年4月成立以来，李教授对研究所关怀备至，为CCOUC推动区内灾害与人道救援国际合作提供很多宝贵意见。CCOUC同仁在此向李教授致以最崇高敬意，并慰问李教授家人。
