Professor Eliza Yee Lai CHEUNG（张依励教授，客座助理教授）

Professor Eliza Cheung specializes in disaster mental health and psychological first aid for her clinical practice, field work, and research. She completed her professional training in clinical psychology and obtained her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Health at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Professor Cheung currently serves as a clinical psychologist at Hong Kong Red Cross, and is a master trainer and roster member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). She has thus far trained over 2,000 disaster first responders and trainers on psychological first aid and psychosocial support from all over the world, including those from the Auxiliary Medical Service, Civil Aviation Department, and Department of Health of the Hong Kong SAR government. In 2014 & 2015, Eliza served as an IFRC psychosocial delegate at Liberia during the Ebola Virus outbreak and at Nepal after the earthquake respectively. Over the years, she has also coordinated emergency mental health and psychosocial response and preparedness programmes in Hong Kong, Bhutan, Singapore and various provinces of the mainland China, including Sichuan, Yunnan, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, and Gansu. Professor Cheung also worked with the World Health Organization in the review, translation, and adaptation of some leading psychosocial support guidelines in emergency, including “Psychological first aid: Guide for field workers” and “Psychological first aid during Ebola virus disease outbreaks”.

Ms. Sharon CHOW, Adjunct Tutor（周嘉旺女士，客座导师）

Ms. Chow was the CEO of Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation (2007-2018). Since the inception of the Foundation in 2007, Ms. Chow has been instrumental in shaping the mission, strategic development, and overall operation of the Foundation. With the dedication to blending modern green technology with traditional wisdom supported by in-depth research, the Foundation has supported comprehensive researches and demonstrative sustainable building projects in rural China with regional significance, and environmental and social impacts. Ms Chow served as International Scientific Review Panel in World Sustainable Building Environment Conference (2017) and Advisory Committee of Humanitarian Initiative in School of Public Health in CUHK (2009). She started her PhD study in early 2019 with a focus on sustainability, housing, and health.

Ms. Caroline DUBOIS, Adjunct Tutor（杜沛欣女士，客座导师）

Caroline Dubois is trained as a public health professional and has health programme implementation and management experiences on international and inter-agency levels. She is currently the Assistant Project Director, and Head of Training and Development at GX Foundation in Hong Kong. In her role, she coordinates the implementation of public and humanitarian health programmes across Asia and Africa, and overseas University-level student training in Hong Kong. She has worked as a project officer for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisations in Geneva, Switzerland where she managed the delivery of technical assistance in immunisation in French-speaking Africa. She is currently undertaking her Doctorate training at the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Professor Colin A. GRAHAM, Professor (by courtesy)（简家廉教授，礼任教授）

Professor Graham qualified in Glasgow in 1994 and undertook higher specialist training in emergency medicine in Scotland. He moved to Hong Kong in 2004 and was appointed Professor in the Accident and Emergency Medicine Academic Unit at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007. He practices clinical emergency medicine at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He has broad research interests within emergency medicine and has published widely. Professor Graham is an active clinical teacher and he is one of the authors of the Oxford Handbook of Emergency Medicine, a popular book for emergency department staff. He has been Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Emergency Medicine since 2009 and serves on the Executive Committee and Council of the European Society for Emergency Medicine.

Professor Sian M. GRIFFITHS, Emeritus Professor（葛菲雪教授，荣休教授）

Trained as a doctor Professor Griffiths practiced as a service based public health physician at local, regional and national level in UK before moving to her academic career as Director of the School of Public Health and Primary Care and Founding Director of Centre for Global Health at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where in 2005 she was invited to develop public health at CUHK following her co chairing of the HKSAR governments inquiry into the 2003 SARS epidemic whilst President of the UK Faculty of Public Health. Now based in the UK with her own consultancy, SM Griffiths Ltd, she remains Senior Adviser on International Academic Development to the Vice Chancellor at CUHK. In the UK she is providing advice to the UK government as Healthcare Sector Specialist for Hong Kong in Healthcare UK, is Associate Board member for Public Health England and chairs their Global Health Committee and is Visiting Professor at the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College, London.

In Hong Kong Prof Griffiths continues to serve on the management board of the CCOUC with its focus on disaster response and humanitarian response. She retains her advisory role with the HKSAR government on the healthcare reform agenda continuing to chair the Task Force on Conceptual Model and Preventive Protocols for Primary Car as well as continuing to sit on FHB's Research committee, acts as deputy chair of the GRB and be a member of the 2014 Research Assessment panel for medical sciences.

During her time in Hong Kong she established a wide network of contacts in mainland China and South East Asia. Her Middle East experience includes being a member of the National Health Authority of Qatar. In 2012 she was made Honorary Fellow of Cardiff University for her work on collaborative research between Cardiff and CUHK. She was made JP by the HKSAR government in 2010 for her contribution to health in Hong Kong. She is a Patron of PHAST and maintains her UK networks. In 2012 she was named Professional of the Year in the AMCHAM Women of Influence Awards. She has recently edited the Routledge Handbook of Global Public Health in Asia and is finalizing a report for the HKSAR government on professional regulation. As Senior Academic Adviser on International Development for her university she represents CUHK within the World University Network.

Professor Holly Ching Yu LAM, Adjunct Assistant Professor（林靖宇教授，客座助理教授）

Holly is an environmental epidemiologist. After getting her PhD in Public Health at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), she joined the Jockey Club School of Public health and Primary Care in CUHK and focused on research work quantifying environmental exposure-outcome associations in Hong Kong, e.g. the impact of ambient temperature and air pollutants on birth outcomes and cause-specific hospital admissions using a time-series approach. Later she joined the Centre for Global Health in the CUHK and the CCOUC and extended her research to health protection and disaster risk reduction in the environmental health context. She assessed the risk perception and its association with protective behaviour toward extreme weather events in Hong Kong and evaluated education interventions against disasters conducted in rural China. In 2019, Holly received the Medical Research Council Early Career Research fellowship with the National Heart and Lung Institute in Imperial College London. There she assessed the seasonality of IgE levels and food allergy and investigated their association with pollens in England and Europe. After the fellowship, Holly joined the Air Quality and Public Health Team in the UK Health Security Agency as an environmental public health scientist, where she continues her research on the impacts of climate change and environmental exposures.

Ms. Holly Lai Ho LI, Adjunct Tutor（李丽荷女士，客座导师）

Ms. Li is an experienced Nursing Officer, who obtained her Master of Public Health degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009. She is currently working in  the Hong Kong Department of Health, and serving as an honorary adjunct tutor in The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care.

Professor Kevin Sida LIU, Adjunct Assistant Professor（刘思达教授，客座助理教授）

Professor Liu received his PhD in Public Health in 2021 and Master of Public Health from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012 with a major in epidemiology and biostatistics. Previously, he obtained a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition as well as a master's in marketing management in the UK. He has participated in field-based assessments and interventions in rural areas in China. Professor Liu is now serving as Project Director at GX Foundation.

Professor Virginia S. G. MURRAY, Adjunct Professor（客座教授）

Professor Virginia Murray is currently the Head of Global Disaster Risk Reducation for Public Health England. She was appointed as Consultant in Global Disaster Risk Reduction for Public Health England in April 2014. This appointment is to take forward her work as vice-chair of the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) Scientific and Technical Advisory Group and as one of the members of the UNISDR Advisory Group for the Post-2015 Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. Prior to this she was appointed as Head of Extreme Events and Health Protection at Public Health England in January 2011. With the Extreme Events team, she helped to develop evidence-based information and advice on flooding, heat, cold, volcanic ash, and other extreme weather and natural hazards events. She has extensive experience in chemical incident response and has provided training courses and materials and has published widely on environmental toxicology. Through her various appointments as Visiting Professor in Health Protection, MRC-PHE Centre for Environment and Health, Imperial College and King’s College, London (2004) and Honorary Professor at University College London (2013), Professor Murray plays a significant academic role in producing literature on the intersection of health and disasters. She also continues to contribute to many national and international meetings on disaster risk reduction.
